Privacy

This page says what this site collects, how that information is used, and how to reach us.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Your password, stored only as a hash. We do not store the password you typed.
- The fact that you checked the email-consent box, the time you checked it, and the wording version of that box.
- The answers you type into the Readiness Check, plus the score, the band, the gaps, and the trade you report.
- Which checklist steps and lessons you mark finished.
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, for about 30 days.
- A cookie that remembers a price-test variant for this browser, for about 90 days. The public site does not charge you. The cookie is still set.
This app stores your email, a password hash, the business facts you type into the Readiness Check, and lesson or checklist progress. If you use the lesson assistant, it also stores your account id, the lesson page, the question after a sensitive number is removed, the sections it used, and the answer, and it sends that question to OpenAI to write the reply. The credit builder notes page asks for a personal credit score range and keeps that answer in the browser for the visit. It is not saved. This app does not ask for a card, a Social Security number, a date of birth, or a bank login.
Lesson assistant
The assistant saves each question and the answer it gave, linked to your account, in this site's own database on the service's private disk. That is the same SQLite file as accounts.
Questions and answers are kept for 90 days and then deleted automatically.
You can ask for earlier deletion by emailing marcusowens@flipitbusinessloanbrokers.com.
The question text is sent to OpenAI to produce the answer. The OpenAI request is made with store:false.
Do not type payment or personal identification details into the assistant.
How we use it
We use this information to run your account and to save your check and your progress. The consent record is stored so we know what you agreed to. This site does not send email today. The Readiness Check result is a self-assessment for you. We do not use it to offer you a loan.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
Email consent and unsubscribe
The consent box is required to create an account. The box says: “Email me my Readiness Check results and Lesson 1, plus the education notes described with the free check. I can unsubscribe. This is not consent for calls or texts.”
This site does not send email today, so there is no unsubscribe button. If education email is sent later, you can unsubscribe by writing to marcusowens@flipitbusinessloanbrokers.com. That request covers the education emails in the consent box. It is not needed for calls or texts, because the box is not consent for those.
Security
Passwords are stored as a hash. Account data sits in the database for this site, on a private disk. No method of storage is perfect. Do not send a Social Security number, a card number, or a bank login by email or in the assistant.
Deletion requests
Email marcusowens@flipitbusinessloanbrokers.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will delete the account data we hold. Questions you ask the lesson assistant, and the answers, are also deleted automatically after 90 days.
Changes
We may update this page. When we do, the effective date above changes.
